The PRINCE2 Foundation curriculum covers all the basics of PRINCE2 project management. You’ll learn all about PRINCE2 themes and principles. In addition to some of the unique language used by PRINCE2 project managers, you’ll also learn a basic understanding of PRINCE2 project management processes.

The PRINCE2 curriculum covers all the information you need to begin applying PRINCE2 methods to the management of simple projects. This course covers all the phases of project management in addition to business case construction, risk assessment and quality assurance.
Many project management roles require PRINCE2 Practitioner certification. PRINCE2 is seen as a standard of competence in the project management industry and shows employers that you understand PRINCE2 methods and can tailor these to suit unique contexts.
Yes. To be eligible to sit the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam you need to hold one of the following certifications:
- PRINCE2 Foundation (or higher) – this only applies to certificates obtained after 1 January 2009.
- Project Management Qualification (PMQ) from the Association for Project Management (APM).
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®.
- IPMA® Level A (Certified Projects Director).
- IPMA® Level B (Certified Senior Project Manager).
- IPMA® Level C (Certified Project Manager).
- IPMA® Level D (Certified Project Management Associate).
You can earn your PRINCE2 Practitioner certification either by taking a self-study PRINCE2 Practitioner online course or by attending an online virtual PRINCE2 Practitioner course.
